Lavazza builds Europe’s first Professional Training Center in Lower Saxony

For weeks now, Lavazza Professional has been bustling with activity: chiseling, hammering and drilling. A state-of-the-art training center for business customers from the OCS and vending sectors is currently being built at the company’s site in Verden. Europe’s first Lavazza Professional Training Center is scheduled to open in September 2023.

For a quarter of a century, Lavazza Training Centers around the world have been teaching the fine art of coffee culture. In Verden, under the direction of coffee trainer Irina Lange, training courses will be offered and conducted for catering teams, sales teams, dealers, employees, OCS and vending partners, and direct customers. The offer is supplemented by Master Classes, which deal, among other things, with the different types of coffee preparation: From traditional to innovative, there is something for everyone. The new Lavazza Professional Training Center will thus become a true coffee campus, a point of reference for everyone involved in coffee.

Environment for creativity, learning and passion

“We invite you to discover the wonderful world of coffee under the guidance of our experts,” explains David Grössbauer, Marketing Director, Lavazza Professional Germany. “With the Training Center, we want to create an environment for creativity, learning and passion for genuine Italian coffee specialties. Our business customers and partners will have the unique opportunity in Europe to build up training and knowledge specifically for the OCS and vending sector in a Lavazza Training Center, so that together we can bring the wonderful world of coffee to the business world,” Grössbauer continues.

The family-owned company understands the importance of hands-on training to achieve coffee excellence. Previously intended primarily for the out-of-home sector, in the future Lavazza Professional business customers and partners will also have the opportunity to discover the world of coffee at Europe’s first Lavazza Training Center, experience the quality and variety of Lavazza specialty coffees, and receive further training to become coffee experts.

To coincide with the opening in the fall, a series of exciting events are planned around the diversity of coffee, from botany to coffee design and the art of preparing high-quality specialty coffees.
