Coca-Cola Enterprises today announced the Company’s board of directors has elected Véronique Morali as director, effective February 11, 2010.
An international business leader, Ms. Morali, 51, is the vice-chairman of Fitch Group, the holding entity of financial service organizations such as Fitch Ratings, and president of Fimalac Developpement, an internationally listed financial services company where she was director and chief operating officer from 1990 to 2008. She also serves as founder and CEO of Terrafemina.com, a website targeting women between the ages of 35 and 50 years old. From 2000 to 2005, Ms. Morali also served as a non-executive director at Tesco, one of the world’s leading retailers.
“Véronique is an accomplished leader whose expertise in financial services and global stakeholder relationships will provide tremendous value to our board of directors,” said John F. Brock, chairman and CEO of Coca-Cola Enterprises. “We will benefit from Véronique’s international business perspective and her invaluable experience with one of our largest customers.”
Ms. Morali will serve on the Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (CRS) and the Human Resources and Compensation Committees of CCE’s board of directors. Her term will expire in April 2010, when she will be eligible for re-election to the board.
Ms. Morali is a key participant in the Mouvement des Entreprises de France (MEDEF), formerly known as the National Council of French Employers. She chairs MEDEF’s Commission for Economic Dialogue, whose objective is to bridge the gap between businesses and influential stakeholders, and increase companies’ awareness of critical issues. She serves as a board member for Havas, an international advertising group, and LCF Rothschild Group, a private bank and financial institution. She also served four years in the French Civil Service as Inspector General at the Ministry of Finance.
Ms. Morali graduated from Sciences Po (L’école Nationale des Sciences Politiques) and ÉNA (L’école Nationale d'Administration), and has a business degree from ESCP (L’école Supérieure de Commerce de Paris), as well as a master’s degree in law.
